congratulations to beloved ms lee on the arrival of her beautiful daughter on 7th november. super tiny baby.. only 2.57kg at birth. ms lee(oh, mrs yap actually.. but i know her as ms lee so i’ll just stick with that) is my all-time favourite teacher. she’s really awesome in so many ways as my CT. next to my girls, she’s probably the best thing that happened to me during my retainee year. most should know i have a really HUGE soft spot for children(and babies for that matter), and wei xin is undoubtedly the cutest baby i’ve seen this year. SUCH A PRETTY! really happy to see ms lee and mr yap start their little family.. finally. i always felt a tad guilty for asking ms lee to postpone any such plans during my A level year. hahaa.. but she did stick it through with us and i am forever grateful for all she has done for 05s29.. and me. (:

pre-christmas prep?

mummy was excited when she came home on friday.. a DHL package for me. i realised i’m actually running out of time.. but i’m still very happy about everything.

met my girls this weekend for a very casual meet-up. i want to pack them and bring them to australia with me! our spontaneous idea of catching a late-night show, without suling because she’s busy with clinicals, and it ended up being ‘four christmases’.

christmas lights are up.. but i haven’t really spent time walking around orchard at night. i like the candy canes though.. so cute.

i received alot of things today. erm.. well, mostly from myself. but i want to specially thank jiayu. (:

it really made my day.. thanks piglet (if i may call you that).

then for the rest of the day, i was pretty much in a good mood because i went to fetch my macbook pro home.. and while i was at it, shopper kristy possessed me. hence…

cineleisure has a new substance outlet. second pair at 50% off.. so i couldn’t help it. ): here’s my new lovely grey high-heel pumps and beige flats.

i wore my new cap to church today. alright, i will admit this one was an extremely compulsive buy. but it’s not my fault.. the guy offered to give me a 10% discount. hee. oh, and that’s my new shawl. (:

movie marathon

holiday seasons can be quite a bummer because of jammed up streets and shopping malls. one reason to be happy about all this is the good movies that will be screening. you can only have such a selection during holidays…

there’s also red cliff 2! and AUSTRALIA. these are the ones i’m looking forward to for now.

body of lies wasn’t exactly a blast. but madagascar 2 made up for it. i love king julien.. such a ball of enthusiasm(“raise your arms, maurice. it’s more fun if you raise your arms like this! ahaha”) and so ever confident about himself(“which of you is attracted to me?”).. although he’s slightly delusional(“maurice, i think they like me!”) and not very sensitive(“oh shut up, you’re so annoying.”). he’s a master with words(“shame on you maurice! do you not see that you have insulted the freaks?!”).. so that impresses me. i want him as my pet, then he can make me laugh everyday(“hohoho.. oh i like laughing, it’s such a nice experience.. to laugh. hahaha.”) just by talking to himself. (“mmm, very nice. thank you for your sacrifice.” “please, have another sacrifice.” “no, i’ve had enough for the day.” “please now, i’m going to be very insulted unless you have another” “I DON’T WANT ANOTHER SACRIFICE OK?!” “look at you, you look skinnny”) hee.. i love watching king julien.

this one is worth watching too. i don’t think it’s showing in singapore.. caught this one online. awesome! i like ‘true story’ films. the story has got to be somewhat fantastic for people to want to make a movie out of it.

this is absolutely my favourite song right now. i think the lyrics are beautifully awesome, don’t you? 方文山 is really a genius, if only my language was stronger then i’ll be able to fully appreciate its meaning. such things are what interest me during chinese literature tutorial back in jc days. yea.. i took chinese ‘A’ but only for 6 months before i decided to drop it. the language portion was quite a drag.. mainly because i don’t like the teacher. my literature teacher, on the other hand, is wonderful. she makes me feel passionate about the chinese culture and language, just like how ms goh inspires me in chemistry. i would love to travel all over china someday, to see all the people and places. people always label me as ‘jia kantang’.. but my mandarin isn’t that bad what. i’m proud to say i’m effectively bilingual (or i hope i am). well.. at least i know one person who thinks that way.

i was watching this in office. elger thought i went crazy because i started crying. it was so funny i had to control laughing out loud. it didn’t work in the end because i was bursting out in “ha ha ha”s that were accompanied by tears. seriously.. no pair can beat ryan and colin (oh, tim and andy may stand a chance). it feels good.. haven’t released my emotions like that in a while.
